Iverson Genetic Diagnostics Opens MSM Lab
Iverson Genetic Diagnostics has opened a regional genetic testing laboratory at the Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) in Atlanta. The new lab will create new jobs on the MSM campus and in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
The initial phase of the laboratory will be the development of a genetics lab with an investment of $2.5 million. Initially addressing the optimization of Warfarin dosing through an upcoming clinical trial, Iverson plans to launch a series of genetic tests addressing women's health care issues including estrogen absorption.
"This genetic testing laboratory at Morehouse School of Medicine will provide physicians and other healthcare providers in Georgia and around the nation with more specific gene-based information to optimize the care of their patients," said Iverson CEO Dean Sproles.
